Great experience with Hapag-Lloyd

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Hanseatic Inspiration

jeff74
6-10 Cruises • Age 50s

If you are looking to go on a cruise around Svalbard then I would highly recommend taking a look at Hapag-Lloyd. We got to see many incredible sights and pretty much everything about the ship and experience as a whole was fantastic. I was a little worried about being an English-only speaker on a German cruise line but all announcements were made in both languages and there were enough people ...

Fantastic nature cruise

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

Iceberg-KR
10+ Cruises • Age 71s

One of the best cruise we ever did ... thanks to the nature of greenland and the wonderful ship (Fridtjof Nansen). The young expedition team was highly motivated and did an excellent job, but all other service members were also very kindly and professional. We had every day interesting lectures (nature, history, birds, polar bears, whales, ...), but fortunatly no entertaiment. Our daily ...

Beautiful ship but not an expedition experience.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Polaris

caradara
10+ Cruises • Age 75s

The ship is beautiful and very spacious. All of the staff, everywhere, was attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. It's not really an expedition cruise although the scientists did release a weather balloon which was interesting. Due to the weather we were unable to go on a zodiac ride and the special ops boats were full before we could sign up. The ...

Lots of wonderful experiences and memories

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Polaris

Phantoms Nana
6-10 Cruises • Age 82s

Our cruise was not without its problems - weather delay - but when you travel anything can happen. You just have to relax and take it in stride. Our captain made the right decisions and his crew responded as well. The ship is just beautiful and there were plenty of activities to keep us busy, not to mention the fact that relaxing on the ship was very enjoyable. We very much enjoyed the Drain the ...

Love the Great Lakes!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

Viking mama
2-5 Cruises • Age 70s

The truly enjoyed the expedition. Once again the staff was top notch. I can’t say enough about the staff. I enjoyed the zodiacs and kayaks. Unfortunately, even though it was an included excursion, we did not receive the opportunity to go on the SOB. After meeting with the customer service team they could not get us on any of the excursions on the SOB. I spoke with several staff members prior ...

Excellent experience

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Roald Amundsen

BestExperience
First Time Cruiser • Age 49s

Our experience with the knowledgeable, warm, attentive, and professional HX staff; the elegant and comfortable Roald Amundsen ship; our beautiful and comfortable cabin with a balcony; the onboard gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna; every single meal and beverage; wildlife viewing throughout the trip; and the breathtaking excursions made this the trip of a lifetime. While our HX included ...

Fantastic holiday, and a fantastic ship and crew

Review for a Greenland Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

MacHappy
2-5 Cruises • Age 64s

Absolutely fabulous cruise up the coastline of the western side of Greenland. The expedition team organised excursions at every stage of the cruise. For those points with no port, the team would check out the shoreline for any risks, mark out any areas to be avoided with flags, and took us in small groups on zodiac boats to explore for ourselves. There were always plenty of people on hand in ...

Icebergs and Fjords

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Fridtjof Nansen

Frank-Michael-W
2-5 Cruises • Age 61s

We had a wonderful sunny tour from Reykjavík to South Greenland and West Coast with M/S Fritjof Nansen in June 2024 with many, many impressions. On South Coast were a lot of icebergs and we couldn't stop in Qaqortoq. The Highlight of our trip was Ilulissat with World Heritage Icefjord. We discovered this region by boat and were hiking around the Icefjord Center. The restaurants on board ...

Best Cruise Ever

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Polaris

Prof-Chop
6-10 Cruises • Age 73s

We have done a number of cruises, but this was by far the best ever. The entire experience was first class, with excellent staff, facilities and equipment, and programming. Viking continued to amaze us as they dealt with unforeseen issues (including adding an additional day on the front end to get a large number of patrons on board earlier for the start of the cruise). The Polaris was the ...

Viking Octantis a great ship; itinerary not so.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

Burley
10+ Cruises • Age 83s

The Octantis is a terrific ship. Two years old, high tech, and lots of windows and spaces to wander through and relax. Never felt crowded. Food and service was top notch. Can't say much for the itinerary - Thunder Bay Ontario, Algoma, WI, and Alpena MI were somewhere between boring and just uninteresting. My wife and I came down with serious respiratory issues - we were sick from the middle of ...
